Kōwhai Aroha
Kōwhai Aroha is an original art work drawn by Katy Hayward in early 2022.
Inspired by her love & appreciation for one of Aotearoa's most beautiful endemic native trees, there is no flower or tree that quite compares to the beautiful kōwhai.
Kōwhai (which also means yellow), is easily recognised by its yellow flowers and is very spiritually significant. Kōwhai is said to symbolise personal growth and helps people to move on from the past with a renewed sense of adventure.
•On the back - Smaller design ft one of Katy's special honey bees that she often uses in her tattoo designs, carrying a short trail of kōwhai leaves.
•On the front - Larger design ft the words 'Kōwhai Aroha', with a branch of kōwhai flowing out from underneath & two happy honey bees. Bottom left corner is Katy's signature.
